I am so excited I’m coming back to my other home (Mexico)!!

I can’t wait to be in Mexico and see my family and friends! I am going for a very special event – my cousin/bff is having her baby baptized and I can’t wait to meet him and hug him for hours. If you’re lucky enough to have your family and friends nearby, tell them you love them as much as you can.

A couple days ago was the birthday of someone really dear to me. I’m so lucky to not only call her my sister in law, but one of my best friends, too. I wanted to take her somewhere different to celebrate and we both wanted to shoot some cool photos since her amazing husband got her a really nice Canon camera for her birthday. You know I’m obsessed with taking photos, so we went to Half Moon Bay. It was so beautiful there today – sunny but not super hot. We ended up having lunch in this really cute and really good Spanish restaurant called SEVILLE. After we had lunch, we just walked around for a little while.

I cannot express how much I wanted to go to Coachella! I didn’t even know until this past week, when I started to check out the bands and artists they were going to have, that isn’t not all about the music, but it’s about the fashion too. I feel like people wear things that make them happy and free their spirit. People always look free and happy in Coachella photos. While I was sitting at home I got the inspiration to make my own Coachella outfit, so I wore:

Here I go again… I love Ashland!

This place is so magical – people playing in the sidewalk, the stores are so cute and the downtown has everything you would ever need or want to eat (yes, I’m a foodie). So far we have been to a Mexican food place called El Paraíso, an Italian restaurant and to a brewery called Caldera. Every place I’ve been to has been so delicious. We had the opportunity to go to a really cute winery about 30 minutes away from downtown Ashland called Dancin.

I’m going to miss this place. The weather is pretty chilly here, so I decided to wear:

Spring Break in Ashland !

This week I’m visiting family in Ashland, Oregon. I am totally in love with this place – it just feels so peaceful. The downtown is really cute – it’s full of really cute little stores and boutiques, and everything around it is so green and beautiful. It’s full of trees and wild animals like deer, rabbits and wild turkey. The weather is quite a bit colder than the Bay Area. Yesterday we were in the 30s – 40s, but with the sun everything look even more beautiful. And I’m not complaining about the weather because this only means that I can wear my winter clothes, that I love, for a bit longer, and I’m always happy with that!

So I decided to wear:

Oversized yellow sweater. It was a present, so I don’t know where they got it from.

Today’s post is a little more rocker that what I usually wear. A big reason why I started this blog was to be more creative in the way I dress, to play with different clothes and to get out of my comfort zone – so I tried this new look and I love it! I have never worn Converse before I started this blog (oops not true, I had Converse on the day my husband proposed – that was the fist time. Now you know I had no idea he was going to propose – best surprise of my life!!) Ok ok, going back to my post. For this new style, I decided to wear:

Spring just makes me happy. We see flowers everywhere, and let’s be honest, who doesn’t like flowers??

Flowers make people happy, and I love all the beautiful clothes and colors that come with it. And of course, flower crowns are a big part of my love for spring!

I got these overalls for a 90’s theme party and I thought I would never wear them again until I started thinking that they would look really cute for spring. It’s something different, so I thought of paring them with this…..

Minimalism!

I am so incredibly excited about this trend that we will see in the fall of 2015. Oversized and very minimalistic outfits were shown by Stella McCartney, Nina Ricci and Veronique Leroy.

We have definitely seen this before – big time in the 1920’s in the United States. It was really interesting for me because in my research it says it was about masculinity and I think this is exactly what we are doing at this moment in time. We are so ready to break paradigm about who and what people should wear. In this collections you can see how the coats, and the collection in general, are so big and boxy with a small and simple detail in the waist, and you can see it even being so big they are perfectly tailored for the model. I love that this trend is coming in right now when we are in a revolution where we want to be free and we don’t want people to tell us what’s for man and what’s for women.

I think we are going to see people wearing these collections in so many different ways because it is so minimalist that everyone can put their own style on it. For example, I would wear one off this coats with jeans for a casual outing or on top of a dress for a visit to the ballet. The dresses in the collections are a little more casual. Even though some are sparkling, you can dress them down and they would be perfect for more casual occasions.

The colors on these collections contain a lot of gray, navy blue, yellows and so, mismatch colors on the Veronique Leroy collection.

50 shades of blue!

I know, how original – haha. It was just perfect title for this post 🙂

Today I was feeling blue. I was missing my other home (Mexico), so I decided to just get ready and try to do what I needed to do for the day without thinking about it. I wore blue and on my way back home to Pacifica. I realized how everything around me was a beautiful blue, and my clothes happened to be blue as well so I thought going to the beach and taking pictures would cheer me up. So I did, and it did!!! The ocean and the sky were so beautiful. The sun was about to set, so I got some beautiful oranges and pink together with the blue and yellow.
